The TJ Tabasco story represents the emergence of transformative technologies (genomics, transgenesis and cloning) intersecting with international Big Science networks. Over the course of this story we will share our collaborations with global scholars to harness new technologies and build shared strategic visions. Critical to achieving meaningful outcomes was development of an achievable timeline and sharing of information in real time. All participants were equal partners in this story. Finally, like all captivating stories, the final chapter does not represent the end of this journey, but rather provides suggested starting points for the next story. Like all University of Illinois stories there are no boundaries and our legacy will continue for the next generation.
